About the role

The Senior Buyer will lead the supply chain function within the Project Management Team, applying best practices to enhance procurement processes for complex projects. Acting as a mentor for less‑experienced colleagues, this role ensures that procurement activities align with project requirements, client expectations, and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Hold responsibility for the Supply Chain function within the Project Management Team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement project procurement requirements, interfacing with clients and vendors to meet milestones on time and within budget.
  • Lead the procurement strategy, incorporating contract requirements and negotiating flow‑down conditions to minimise exposure.
  • Develop and execute a Project Procurement plan covering purchasing, expediting, logistics, communication and project goals.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for client supply‑chain needs and ensure timely issue identification and corrective actions.
  • Participate in dispute, claim and performance issue resolution.
  • Provide status reporting and represent supply‑chain management in project team meetings.
  • Maintain auditable procurement files and adhere to record‑retention procedures.
  • Oversee project supply‑chain activities, ensuring deliverable quality meets internal and external expectations.
  • Manage procurement budgets, monitor expenditures, approve payments and handle change orders.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in procurement and supply‑chain management within project‑oriented environments.
  • Proven ability to lead procurement strategy, negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
