Senior Care Assistant

About the role

Glenholme Bispham Gardens, a 52-bed care home in Blackpool, is looking for a Senior Care Assistant. The post is full time, 33 hours per week including alternate weekends, at £14 per hour. The home offers high-quality care for older adults, including specialist dementia and end-of-life care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff during your shift
• Provide personal care and companionship
• Administer and oversee medication
• Support residents in their daily activities and routines
• Update and maintain care plans
• Support residents with end-of-life care
• Work closely with families to ensure residents receive the best care
• Promote independence, choice and inclusion

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (mandatory)
• Patience, compassion and a sense of humour
• Great listening skills and the ability to adapt to every kind of day
• Position subject to an enhanced DBS check
