Senior Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

The Senior Commercial Finance Manager will report to the Head of Commercial Finance and work closely with the Trading Director to provide commercial insight, challenge and support across a multi‑site business. This hands‑on, highly visible position blends financial rigour with real‑world commercial understanding to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Trading Director and senior leadership to influence decision‑making through robust financial analysis and clear recommendations.
• Support execution of the business plan, ensuring initiatives deliver growth and profitability.
• Provide weekly performance insight across brands, analysing sales, volume, mix, margin and promotional activity.
• Own period‑end accounting, reporting and gross‑margin variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Maintain financial controls, governance processes and support audits.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting and capital appraisal processes, delivering accurate outlooks and supporting investment decisions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in commercial finance within a multi‑site or retail environment.
• Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence strategic decisions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of delivering actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
