Senior Credit Officer – Enterprise Credit Risk

About the role

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior Credit Officer to join its Enterprise Credit Risk team. This senior position sits at the heart of the Credit organisation, offering the chance to influence strategy, standards and credit appetite across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Craft high‑quality credit risk opinions supporting CIB strategies, risk‑appetite requests, stress‑testing and regulatory queries.
• Influence and shape credit policies, standards, portfolio mandates and complex transactions.
• Act as the single point of contact for specialist credit queries, portfolio changes and new product proposals.
• Participate in CIB Transaction Execution Committee and Markets Product Committee, reviewing proposals and providing recommendations.
• Monitor economic, market and political developments to maintain robust portfolio and policy frameworks.
• Lead ad‑hoc projects that enhance reporting, appetite frameworks and sector insights.
• Support an inclusive, high‑performing team culture and mentor junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit risk within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) or specialist portfolios.
• Strong analytical ability to assess complex asset classes, sectors and products.
• Proven track record of influencing policy and working with senior credit and business leaders.
• Excellent communication skills for high‑impact stakeholder engagement.
