Senior Engineer – Highways Infrastructure Project

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join a flagship £120 million highways improvement scheme in Coventry. The role will involve overseeing the redevelopment of a major highway junction, including a new flyover, bulk earthworks, and extensive drainage works.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of construction activities, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
• Manage setting‑out activities and provide technical support to on‑site teams.
• Coordinate with design and survey teams to translate CAD drawings into field execution.
• Monitor quality, health & safety standards and engineering best practices throughout the project.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on civil engineering or highways projects.
• Strong background in bulk earthworks and drainage installation.
• Highways infrastructure experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and supervise site teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience using GPS machine‑control systems and total stations.
• Setting‑out and survey coordination.
• Knowledge of bulk earthworks and drainage works.
