Senior Engineering Lead

About the role

Too Good To Go is building its first engineering hub in London and needs a Senior Engineering Lead to shape the team from day one. You will work side‑by‑side with the London‑based Staff Product Manager and report to the Director of Engineering in Copenhagen, driving high‑impact software that supports key food‑waste partners.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team in London.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow engineers to deliver high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap in close collaboration with Operations and product owners.
• Architect scalable solutions that meet the constraints of major grocery chains, coffee shop operators, and restaurant groups.
• Partner with senior commercial and operational leaders to ensure engineering output aligns with business goals.
• Blend people leadership, technical architecture, and product ownership to drive rapid, cross‑functional delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and leading high‑performing engineering teams.
• Strong background in technical architecture and product development.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Experience in fast‑growing, mission‑driven technology environments.
