Senior Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a leading Design & Build contractor in Basildon. You will work closely with pre‑construction and commercial teams to deliver competitive tenders for high‑value residential, hotel, hospitality and commercial projects across London and the South East.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit competitive tenders from concept through to final documentation.
• Develop detailed cost plans and budgets for complex design‑led projects.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities to optimise project profitability.
• Support the successful delivery of Design & Build contracts by liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Design & Build Estimator within the main contracting sector.
• Proven track record delivering tenders for high‑end residential, luxury hotels and premium commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, procurement routes and current market rates.
• Experience producing detailed estimates, budgets and tender documentation.
• Commercial awareness and confidence in client and subcontractor interactions.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with excellent attention to detail.
