Senior Finance Manager – 15 month FTC

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join a fast‑growing international omnichannel retailer on a 15‑month maternity cover contract. Based at the London headquarters, you will work three days a week on‑site, leading a finance team and driving transformation across retail, ecommerce and supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of seven qualified and part‑qualified accountants.
• Maintain robust financial controls, balance‑sheet integrity and governance across the business.
• Oversee the month‑end close and management accounting for retail, ecommerce and supply‑chain channels.
• Manage the business‑partnering team, providing financial analysis, decision support and post‑investment reviews.
• Challenge and advise on major initiatives such as new store openings, logistics projects, payment provider evaluations and capital investments.
• Drive finance transformation, including reporting optimisation, process automation and a faster‑close programme.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams of three or more.
• Strong background in financial controls, balance‑sheet management and month‑end processes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change, challenge existing processes and deliver transformation projects.
