Senior Front End Developer

About the role

This is an opportunity to join a high‑growth, purpose‑driven SaaS business that is transforming how large organisations communicate with and engage their employees. The role operates in a hybrid model, requiring two days per week in the Newcastle city‑centre office.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and developing responsive front‑end components, primarily using React.
• Taking ownership of front‑end architecture decisions and contributing to longer‑term technical strategy.
• Working closely with product and design teams on complex UI/UX challenges.
• Championing performance, accessibility and responsive design.
• Producing clean, maintainable and well‑tested code.
• Mentoring other developers and helping raise engineering standards.
• Contributing to continuous improvement across engineering practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of front‑end development experience.
• Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of front‑end architecture, design patterns and component‑based applications.
• Experience with Vue.js or ability to work across modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of Git, Agile delivery, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility and responsive design.
• Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with product and design colleagues.
