Senior Group Accountant

About the role

This senior position sits at the heart of a large international services organisation, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. You will help shape a more centralised finance function across a complex multi‑entity group while working closely with UK and international finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end accounting activities, including preparation of management accounts and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support group consolidation and statutory reporting across a multi‑entity structure.
• Manage intercompany accounting, ensuring accurate balances, funding flows and reconciliations.
• Take ownership of head‑office accounting for multiple entities.
• Work on systems change and finance transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Group Consolidation team to improve reporting quality and timelines.
• Help simplify and standardise processes across a decentralised finance function.
• Support stronger controls, governance and visibility across accounting and compliance.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience in a large, complex, multi‑entity organisation.
• Strong month‑end and financial accounting background.
• Exposure to group consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Experience with intercompany accounting.
• Proactive self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• ERP systems (experience with finance transformation projects).

What we offer

• Salary £75,000‑£85,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.
