Senior High Voltage SAP (33kV) – Northwest England

About the role

We are seeking a Senior High Voltage Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to work on 33kV networks across the Northwest of England. The role involves field‑based switching, isolation, commissioning and fault‑finding on both HV and LV systems, supporting critical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform HV/LV switching, isolations and issue safety documentation up to Sanction for Test.
• Commission new installations, conduct relay testing and manage fault‑finding activities.
• Lead on‑site teams and coordinate with project engineers during maintenance and outage works.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota and travel across Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Leeds and Stoke‑on‑Trent.

Required profile

• Current Senior Authorised Person with experience on networks up to 33kV.
• Strong knowledge of distribution networks, switchgear and protection systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Required skills

• HV/LV switching and isolation procedures.
• Relay testing and fault finding.
• Commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Understanding of switchgear and protection systems.
