About the role

Join a leading legal organisation’s Finance Operations Team in Manchester as a Senior Legal Billing Specialist. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering client bills across commercial and insurance services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while supporting continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Commercial and Insurance legal teams to produce and send accurate client invoices.
• Review and process high volumes of invoices efficiently, meeting strict deadlines.
• Generate a variety of invoice types, including standard bills, e‑bills, composite bills and multi‑payor bills.
• Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks to maintain smooth billing operations.
• Prepare regular financial reports to aid transparency and decision‑making.
• Leverage technology to automate and simplify billing tasks.
• Adapt duties as priorities shift and support colleagues as needed.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to clarify billing queries and ensure alignment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Legal Billing Specialist or in a similar billing/invoicing role within professional services or law firms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under high‑volume, tight‑deadline conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex transactions efficiently.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and support team members.
