Senior Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join our finance business partnering team on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. Working hybrid from our Wokingham office and home, you will provide strategic financial advice, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure accurate financial reporting for senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior managers and service budget holders to deliver strategic financial insights.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and year‑end financial close.
• Produce timely and accurate financial reports for senior finance stakeholders.
• Support governance, statutory accounts, and compliance with legislative changes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial systems and service delivery.
• Deliver financial acumen training to managers and service teams.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Working towards or holding a professional accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and statutory accounts.
