Senior Manager – Accounts (Hybrid, Poole)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Accounts to join a respected, growing accountancy and business advisory firm in Poole. This hybrid role offers a clear route to senior leadership, allowing you to combine technical expertise with leadership and advisory responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses across a variety of sectors.
• Act as the main point of contact and trusted adviser for clients.
• Review statutory accounts, tax compliance and management information prepared by the wider team.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior managers and accountants.
• Ensure assignments are delivered efficiently, on time and to the highest technical standards.
• Support Partners with client strategy and complex advisory matters.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional services and strengthen existing client relationships.
• Play an active role in networking and business development initiatives.
• Monitor budgets, profitability and overall portfolio performance.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience) with a strong background in UK accountancy practice.
• Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
• Strong accounts and tax review experience.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness with a genuine interest in business development.
