Senior Mechanical Engineer - Water Treatment (Contract)

About the role

Envirogen Group UK Limited is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer on a contract basis to join its engineering team. You will design and develop mechanical components and systems for water and wastewater treatment solutions, working in a hybrid workplace within the UK and Europe department.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all technical aspects of projects in the execution phase, ensuring they meet technical, time and budget targets and suit process requirements.
• Write technical proposals for the sales team: analyse drawings and specifications, liaise with stakeholders to build estimates and resolve issues.
• Manage external partners so that execution costings are accurate.
• Produce technical documentation, carry out feasibility studies and attend project meetings to share technical insights.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• Experience in the industrial water treatment industry.
• Significant experience developing costed technical engineering proposals for clients in regulated or industrial water environments.
• Knowledge of ion exchange and reverse osmosis, and of pumps, vessels, tanks and other process equipment.
• Team-based industrial project experience and proven ability to prepare plant take-offs, procurement schedules and expedite orders.

Required skills

• Autocad and Plant 3D.
• MS Office applications.
• Hydraulic design, process calculations, PFD, P&ID and mass balance.
• Specification and technical alignment of process equipment, and design risk assessments.
