Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join a respected consultancy that delivers high‑quality procurement advisory services across the built environment. You will work on complex capital programmes and large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects, supporting clients from strategy through to contract award.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement end‑to‑end procurement strategies for capital programmes.
• Manage tender processes, including documentation, evaluation and commercial advice.
• Prepare business cases, procurement plans, and contract recommendation reports.
• Lead project delivery elements, engage directly with clients, and present findings.
• Coordinate inputs from internal specialists and guide delivery teams.
• Contribute to the growth of the procurement advisory function.

Required profile

• Significant procurement experience within the built environment.
• CIPS or MCIPS qualification.
• Proven ability to draft procurement strategies, tender documents and evaluation reports for construction, infrastructure or professional services projects.
• Knowledge of regulated procurement frameworks such as the Public Contracts Regulations and Utilities Contracts Regulations.
• Understanding of commercial principles and contract forms including NEC, JCT and FIDIC.
• Comfortable advising clients, producing clear documentation and guiding projects through the full procurement lifecycle.
