Senior Production Finance Manager - Theatre

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing theatre company in Woking to find a Senior Production Finance Manager. This senior, hands‑on position leads the Production Finance function, overseeing a busy portfolio of live productions while managing a small team of finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee weekly production reporting, delivering clear cost, profit and performance data to General Managers.
• Lead and develop a team of three production finance professionals, ensuring timely and accurate accounts.
• Manage monthly management accounts, group reporting and profit forecasts for each show.
• Control cash‑flow forecasting and reporting for productions, SPVs and investors.
• Apply appropriate technical accounting treatment, including consolidation and equity accounting.
• Oversee taxation and compliance, including Theatre Tax Relief and related obligations.
• Coordinate statutory accounts, tax returns and the annual audit process.
• Review weekly payment runs and collaborate with purchase ledger and payroll teams.
• Contribute to budgeting, re‑forecasting and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Extensive experience in live entertainment, theatre or production finance.
• Proven track record in production accounting across multiple live productions.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting, taxation and compliance for theatre productions.
• Previous line‑management experience with the ability to develop a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience driving process improvements and optimising finance systems.
• Willingness to commute to Woking and work in the office three days per week.
