Senior Project Manager – Grid Technologies Substations

About the role

Join Siemens Energy as a Senior Project Manager in the Grid Technologies Substations division. You will lead the planning and delivery of key substation projects across the United Kingdom, ensuring they align with strategic growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, defining scope, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Organise and lead multidisciplinary project teams, assigning responsibilities and driving progress to meet deadlines.
• Monitor and report on project status, tracking costs, timing, and staffing against the plan.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project closure, including final documentation, lessons learned, and stakeholder handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of project management experience, preferably in energy, utilities, or heavy engineering.
• Professional certifications such as PMP and PRINCE2 Practitioner.
• Proven experience managing complex projects with significant budgets and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong capabilities in financial oversight, risk management, and process control.
