Senior Project Manager

About the role

This senior project manager position is with a design‑led multidisciplinary practice based in Central London. The role sits close to senior directors and design teams, overseeing commercial health, contractual robustness and operational control of major live schemes in the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project commercial activities, including fee position, forecasting, spend monitoring and reporting on multi‑million‑pound projects (£50‑£500+ m).
• Manage scope, change and contractual processes across live projects, operating within NEC and other contract frameworks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants and client‑side stakeholders across complex workstreams.
• Drive commercially sensitive conversations around scope, fee pressure, resource impact and delivery risk.
• Support programme reviews, progress monitoring and resource planning.
• Maintain robust records of RFIs, comments, changes, key decisions and contract‑related matters.
• Provide early intervention and structured decision‑making to keep projects on track.
• Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in commercial management and contract administration on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts, compensation events and change control processes.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a focus on early issue identification.
