Senior Project Manager

About the role

Thales is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of products and projects within its Underwater Systems (UWS) business, part of the international Mine Warfare team. You will be responsible for guiding projects through the full development lifecycle while contributing to the leadership team and project governance.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and support work‑package teams, modelling Thales leadership behaviours.
• Build stakeholder trust through open dialogue and coordinate with engineering, procurement and other functions.
• Define execution strategies, create schedule baselines and maintain robust baselines throughout execution.
• Establish and control KPIs such as on‑time delivery and ensure accurate forecasting.
• Deploy effective project controls and represent the project at governance reviews.
• Liaise with contributing functions to drive quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Manage changes to baselined scope and apply appropriate change control processes.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in complex, high‑profile project environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to embed a proactive risk and opportunity management culture.
• Experience delivering projects with international travel and customer interaction.
