Senior Quantity Surveyor – £75,000‑£85,000 – £20m Education Project

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Oxford‑based main contractor on a £20 million education refurbishment and new‑build scheme. You will work closely with the project team, taking commercial responsibility for procurement, cost control and final account delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement and subcontractor packages for the education project.
• Prepare, review and issue subcontractor orders and payment notices.
• Control valuations, variations and produce accurate cost reports, forecasts and CVRs.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities, supporting the Project Manager and site team.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large‑scale education or similar construction projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a live, operational environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Procurement and subcontractor management.
• Cost control, valuation and forecasting.
• Preparation of payment notices and final accounts.
