Senior Recruitment Consultant – Early Years Specialist

About the role

Reed is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its Early Years division. You will work with nurseries, pre‑schools and childcare providers across Yorkshire and the Humber, matching qualified professionals with the right settings. The role combines business development, candidate management and compliance within a fast‑moving, people‑focused sector.

Key responsibilities

• Source, interview, register and maintain a strong pool of early years professionals.
• Build and nurture relationships with nurseries, early years settings and education leaders.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle – from vacancy intake to placement and post‑placement follow‑up.
• Deliver and coordinate CPD and training programmes to ensure candidates meet EYFS and safeguarding standards.
• Achieve revenue targets through uncapped commission while maintaining high compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within early years or education.
• Strong understanding of EYFS requirements, staffing ratios and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
