About the role
We are seeking a Senior Regulatory In‑House Lawyer to join Reed Smith’s EMEA legal team. The role is ideal for a lawyer from a large law firm or a corporate compliance background who wants to provide strategic legal advice on regulatory, compliance and professional conduct matters across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Advise senior stakeholders on legal, regulatory and ethical standards applicable to the firm and its employees.
- Handle claims, complaints and conduct investigations, providing guidance on potential conduct issues.
- Design, implement and maintain compliance systems, procedures and global risk‑management policies.
- Lead global risk‑management projects and advise on commercial contract risks.
- Develop and deliver training in partnership with the Learning & Development team.
- Promote an ethical, inclusive and diverse working environment.
Required profile
- Qualified in England and Wales.
- Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in an international law firm or a comparable compliance role.
- Strong technical knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, research and presentation abilities.
Required skills
- Expertise in regulatory and compliance law.
- Experience with financial crime, employment law, commercial litigation, data and technology, or investigations.
