Senior Revenue Accountant

About the role

Inizio is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its Global Finance Services team in Manchester. Reporting to the Global Revenue Controller, you will act as a subject‑matter expert on complex revenue recognition, accrued and deferred revenue, and period‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post revenue accounting journals in line with IFRS 15 and other applicable standards.
• Perform reconciliations for accrued revenue, deferred revenue, contract liabilities and related balance‑sheet accounts.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, including cut‑off reviews and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate revenue schedules, contract documentation and supporting records.
• Investigate variances between revenue ledger postings and billing system data, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Partner with RTR, OTC and Group Finance teams to resolve accounting queries and support audit requests.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and process efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Significant experience in revenue accounting, preferably within a shared‑services environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and other revenue recognition standards.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end and year‑end close cycles.
