Senior Site Manager – Tier 1 Contractor (Temp to Perm)

About the role

This is a temporary‑to‑permanent opportunity with a leading Tier 1 contractor on a £19.5m education build in Caerleon. You will act as the key link between the Project Manager and on‑site teams, initially focusing on day‑to‑day site operations and later taking on strategic responsibilities as additional projects commence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and support Site Managers.
• Lead planning, programming and progress tracking to meet programme milestones.
• Drive programme delivery and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate subcontractors and maintain high standards of health & safety compliance.
• Support the Project Manager with reporting and site performance analysis.
• Motivate and manage the wider site team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on education or healthcare projects.
• Strong background in traditional build construction.
• Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
• Excellent organisational and programme management abilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• SMSTS certification.
• CSCS card.
• First Aid certification.
