Senior Site Manager – Tier 1 Contractor (Temp to Perm)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a £19.5m traditional build school project in Caerleon. The role starts on a temporary basis with the intention of becoming permanent, offering the chance to shape the delivery of a major education development while working closely with the Project Manager and Site Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations and support Site Managers.
• Lead planning, programming and progress tracking to meet programme milestones.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure high standards of health & safety compliance.
• Assist the Project Manager with reporting, site performance analysis and stakeholder communication.
• Motivate and manage the wider site team to maintain productivity and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on education or healthcare projects.
• Strong background in traditional build construction with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
• Excellent organisational and programme management abilities.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
