Senior Town Planner – London (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Senior Town Planner to join a respected planning consultancy in London. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile residential, commercial, mixed‑use, logistics, infrastructure and regeneration projects while developing your career in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of planning applications and appeals from inception to determination.
• Prepare planning appraisals, statements and supporting documentation.
• Provide strategic planning advice to clients across multiple sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and local authorities.
• Mentor junior planners and offer technical guidance.
• Contribute to business development and identify new opportunities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with planning policy, legislation and best practice.

Required profile

• MRTPI qualification (or working towards chartership) with relevant experience.
• Experience in a planning consultancy or local authority.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and legislation.
• Proven ability to manage planning applications and client relationships.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and proactive problem‑solving.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
