Senior Travel Business Development Manager

About the role

A well-established international Tour Operator and Destination Management Company is looking for a Senior Travel Business Development Manager based in London, with hybrid working options available. The role focuses on the UK and Ireland as a destination, building a portfolio of group travel clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and build a portfolio of group travel clients across the allocated markets.
• Manage existing accounts and identify new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Prepare competitive quotations and tailor-made itineraries for groups travelling to Scotland and Ireland.
• Follow up on quotations, convert leads into confirmed bookings and negotiate competitive rates to maximise profitability.
• Coordinate with the Operations team so that hotels, services, budgets and itineraries are accurately arranged for confirmed groups.
• Monitor market trends and competitors, handle client issues professionally, and attend client meetings and familiarisation trips as required.

Required profile

• Fluency in English to mother-tongue standard is a must; an additional language is a real bonus.
• Experience in sales within a Destination Management or Travel Management company is essential.
• Outstanding knowledge of the UK and Ireland as a destination.
• Proactive, confident and dynamic personality.

What we offer

• Salary between £30,000 and £42,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits and bonus.
