Senior Waiter/Ess - Chinoiserie, Jumeirah Carlton Tower

About the role

Jumeirah Carlton Tower, a luxury hotel in Knightsbridge, London, is looking for a Senior Waiter/Ess to join The Chinoiserie restaurant. The role centres on delivering high-end customer service and guiding guests through their dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables and explain seating arrangements.
• Explain menu items, including preparation methods and ingredients, and answer questions about allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Tell guests about daily specials and promotions not listed on the menu.
• Verify guests' identification to comply with legal age requirements for alcohol service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, note special requests and pass them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
• Deliver high-end customer service throughout the meal.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent country-specific qualification.
• Basic Food Hygiene and Safety certification.
• 1-2 years of experience in Food & Beverage service, ideally in a luxury hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping high service standards.
