SharePoint Administrator

About the role

The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term position supporting a public sector organisation in Gloucestershire. You will be the SharePoint subject‑matter expert, responsible for the day‑to‑day administration of SharePoint Online and for assisting the migration to the new platform.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SharePoint Online sites, libraries, permissions, security settings and governance policies.
• Support the Trust’s SharePoint migration project and drive continuous platform improvements.
• Handle SharePoint incidents, service requests, troubleshooting and user queries.
• Monitor performance, compliance and storage utilisation, escalating issues when required.
• Create user documentation, training materials and promote best‑practice usage.
• Assist Service Desk operations, including account administration, asset management and supplier liaison.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and engage with stakeholders across the organisation.

Required profile

• Relevant IT qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.
• Understanding of ITIL and Service Desk support processes.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience with incident and service request management tools.
• Desirable experience in the NHS or other public‑sector environments and Microsoft certifications.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of £30,000‑£35,000 per annum.
