Shift Operator – Black Shift (Production)

About the role
The Black Shift Operator will run and maintain production machinery on a 4‑on/4‑off schedule, ensuring safe, high‑quality output of metal cans. The role covers both day and night rotations and includes regular quality checks and continuous improvement activities.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment, performing routine checks and corrective actions.
- Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Use SPC tools such as APRISO to control can integrity and monitor spoilage levels.
- Record and update work‑area documentation as required.
- Support trials of new materials, equipment installations, and commissioning.
- Operate FLT when needed and carry out size or diameter changes.
- Control material usage, spare parts, and ensure equipment efficiency meets targets.
Required profile
- Commitment to health and safety compliance.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Willingness to participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Required skills
- Experience with SPC tools, specifically APRISO.
- Capability to operate a Forklift Truck (FLT).
