SHO – Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wolverhampton)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior House Officer (SHO) to join our busy Trauma & Orthopaedics department in Wolverhampton. This long‑term placement offers consistent weekday hours within a supportive clinical environment, ideal for an experienced junior doctor looking to develop orthopaedic expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute trauma and orthopaedic care to in‑patients and out‑patients.
• Assist in surgical procedures under supervision of senior consultants.
• Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings and on‑call duties as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to clinical audits.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor (MBBS or equivalent) with full GMC registration.
• Current experience as an SHO in a trauma or orthopaedic setting.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 09:00‑17:00, with no weekend commitments.

Required skills

• Basic surgical skills and familiarity with orthopaedic procedures.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health record systems.
