Site Manager – Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee construction sites primarily in London, based from Waltham Abbey. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of roofing, cladding and façade projects.

Key responsibilities

• Attend each site punctually and maintain a professional presence throughout the project.
• Ensure sites are left safe, secure and organised at the end of each day, with materials and equipment properly stored.
• Work closely with the Operations Team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Support onboarding of new operatives, briefing them on site procedures and safety requirements.
• Manage permits, applying for, monitoring and closing them daily.
• Carry out regular health‑and‑safety inspections and produce weekly safety reports.
• Coordinate site activities against the project programme and report any issues that could affect progress.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced site manager with a strong background in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to manage operatives, subcontractors and site documentation.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and permit processes.
• Effective communication skills to act as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams.

• Competitive salary of £50,000‑£60,000 per year, dependent on experience.
