Site Manager – Full‑time & Contractor Roles in Perth

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead construction projects in Perth. The role can be filled on a permanent full‑time basis or as a contractor, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and agree on project specifications, design drawings, health and safety proposals, and a detailed programme.
• Set up the site office, welfare facilities, and an emergency plan compliant with CDM 2015 regulations.
• Prepare material and labour schedules, coordinate procurement and subcontractor arrangements.
• Maintain the site programme, record progress, and provide weekly updates to the Project Manager and Contract Administrator.
• Secure completed works, site perimeter, stored materials, and plant throughout the project.
• Conduct site inductions, enforce safety measures, and supervise all operatives.
• Ensure works comply with current codes of practice, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, inductions, toolbox talks, accidents, deliveries, safety inspections, and staff‑related forms.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities to manage operatives, subcontractors, and on‑site challenges.
• Excellent organisational skills for planning, scheduling, and coordinating multiple tasks.
• Broad practical construction knowledge across trades such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and civil works.
• Experience supervising construction projects and site staff.

• Qualified First Aider
• CSCS card – management or supervisory level
• SMSTS certification
• Valid full UK driver’s licence
