Site Operative – Water Utility Projects

About the role

We are looking for Site Operatives to work on clean water projects in Gosport. You will join a team delivering water utility and environmental agency contracts, with travel and overnight stays as part of the role.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sites by unloading and storing building materials and plant.
• Handle, use and dispose of materials safely.
• Carry out physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage, kerb laying, and material mixing and application.
• Operate heavy machinery (diggers, dumpers, compressors) in line with CPCS training.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, wearing full PPE at all times.
• Follow the Company Safety Handbook and all safety instructions.

Required profile

• Experience working on‑site in a labourer capacity.
• Self‑motivated with ability to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work at heights safely following relevant training.
• Willingness to travel, work away from home and attend training courses as required.
• Good driving skills for company vans, with monitoring and tracking.

Required skills

• CPCS training for operating diggers, dumpers and compressors.
• Basic timber shuttering.
• Drainage and kerb laying.
• Material mixing and application.
• Heavy machinery operation.
• Van driving.
