Site Supervisor – Primary School (Blackburn)

About the role
Veritas Education is partnering with a primary school in Blackburn to find a reliable Site Supervisor. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the school premises, ensuring a safe, clean and well‑maintained environment for pupils and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Open the school each morning and secure the site at the end of the day.
- Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs and general upkeep of the building.
- Conduct health and safety checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support external contractors on site and liaise with them as required.
- Assist with the setup of rooms and school events when needed.
Required profile
- Previous experience in caretaking, site supervision or a maintenance role.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Strong practical skills for basic maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently and be proactive.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with staff and contractors.
