Site Supervisor – Secondary School (East London)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a proactive Site Supervisor to manage the day‑to‑day operation of a busy secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London. You will ensure the campus remains safe, secure, and well‑maintained for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Open and secure the school site each day.
• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and DIY tasks across buildings and grounds.
• Monitor the condition of facilities and report any issues.
• Manage external contractors and oversee site works.
• Conduct health and safety checks and maintain compliance records.
• Prepare rooms and facilities for exams, events and daily activities.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and site‑related incidents.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Site Supervisor, Caretaker or Facilities role.
• Strong practical maintenance skills and ability to carry out DIY tasks.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and solve problems.
• Professional, flexible and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
