Social Media Manager – Sports & Outdoor

About the role

We are seeking a creative, data‑driven Social Media Manager to lead SportPursuit’s presence across major social platforms. Reporting to the Head of Social Media, you will craft compelling content, engage our community of four million members and turn followers into loyal customers. The role can be based in our London office or in Montpellier, working in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and publish high‑quality content on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Strava and other channels.
• Produce short‑form video assets (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) that showcase deals, brand partners and the active lifestyle.
• Maintain the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns and trading priorities.
• Source and brief freelance creators, photographers and videographers as needed.
• Write copy, captions and calls‑to‑action that reflect the SportPursuit tone of voice.
• Utilise AI‑based content tools to scale production while preserving brand authenticity.
• Develop and own the overall social media strategy, supporting member acquisition, deal engagement and retention.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of social media experience in the sport or outdoor sector.
• Strong storytelling ability combined with commercial thinking.
• Proven track record of growing engaged communities on multiple platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, Trading and brand teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Strava.
• Experience creating short‑form video content.
• Familiarity with AI content generation tools (e.g., generative image platforms, AI video editors, copywriting assistants).
