About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Sociology teacher to join an excellent school in Sevenoaks. The role is temporary with the potential to become permanent, offering the chance to shape young minds and contribute to a supportive learning community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging sociology lessons up to Key Stage 5.
- Prepare students for examinations and assess their progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain up‑to‑date subject knowledge and contribute to curriculum development.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching sociology to students up to KS5.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Required skills
- Strong subject knowledge of the sociology curriculum.
- Effective classroom management.
- Excellent communication skills.
