Software Engineer – £50k-£100k+ + Equity

About the role

Join a small, high-impact engineering team at Opfyx Ltd, building a modern AI-enabled operations platform that replaces legacy infrastructure in the world’s largest airports and airlines. You will architect mission-critical systems and develop distributed, full-stack solutions that run in live airport environments, shaping the future of global aviation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate highly available software for live aviation environments using Rust and Flutter.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to create distributed and federated architectures supporting complex operational workflows.
• Improve reliability, performance and user experience across the Opfyx AIR platform.
• Help define and evolve engineering practices as the team scales.

Required profile

• Self-starter with strong technical instincts across the full stack and ability to own projects end-to-end.
• Willingness to master a high-performance stack including Rust, Flutter/Dart, gRPC, Arrow and Postgres.
• User-first mindset and capability to build scalable systems for an industry moving billions of people annually.
