Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

About the role
As a SEN Teacher at Robins Way School you will design and deliver personalised lessons that support progress for pupils with special educational needs. You will collaborate closely with colleagues, learning support assistants and external professionals to create an inclusive, safe learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality learning experiences for individual students or small groups.
- Track, record and report on student progress, communicating outcomes to parents and staff.
- Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).
- Coordinate teaching, assessment and reporting across designated subjects or key stages.
- Organise classroom resources to create a stimulating and supportive environment.
- Ensure risk‑assessed activities are safe for students on and off site.
- Brief and deploy Learning Support Assistants, tutors and care staff effectively.
- Manage challenging behaviour positively, fostering independence and self‑regulation.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching children with SEN or complex needs – desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate, patient and adaptable with a genuine commitment to every child.
- Full UK driving licence.

What we offer
- Salary up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- Permanent, term‑time only contract.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
