About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join Robins Way School in Amesbury, delivering personalised lessons for pupils with SEMH, autism and ADHD. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families to create supportive, inclusive learning experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons that engage pupils with SEMH, ASC and ADHD.
- Adapt teaching approaches using inclusive, sensory and structured strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and families to provide a consistent, holistic support system.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, adjusting learning to achieve EHCP outcomes and individual targets.
- Promote independence, communication and self‑confidence through positive relationships and nurturing practice.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation, helping pupils develop essential life skills.
- Create a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment where pupils feel motivated and proud of their achievements.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its ongoing growth and success.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); early career teachers and newly qualified teachers are welcome.
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs.
- Interest or experience working with pupils with autism, communication differences and complex learning needs.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Creativity, patience and resilience in teaching practice.
- Enjoys collaborative work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Reflective, motivated and committed to continuous professional development.
- Full UK driving licence.
