About the role
At our specialist school, you'll do far more than teach a curriculum. You'll help young people overcome barriers, celebrate achievements that others thought impossible, and build the confidence they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
- Create an inclusive classroom where every achievement is recognised and celebrated.
- Develop and review personalised learning plans, including IEPs and behaviour support strategies.
- Monitor progress, identify next steps and celebrate every milestone.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to provide exceptional support.
- Promote positive behaviour through consistency, understanding and high expectations.
- Safeguard the wellbeing of every pupil and help create a nurturing learning environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in SEND provision.
- Passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every child succeed.
- Creative, adaptable and able to tailor teaching to a range of learning needs.
- Excellent communicator who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed to continuous professional development and delivering outstanding teaching.
