About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate Teacher to join our specialist team at Shaftesbury Victoria School. You will deliver high‑quality, personalised teaching and support to pupils with physical, intellectual and complex learning needs, working primarily with the EYFS curriculum.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs.
- Assess, record and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to maximise achievement.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals to support holistic development.
- Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.
- Engage with families and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions and school‑wide initiatives.
- Uphold the values and ethos of the school at all times.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (essential).
- Additional qualification in the education of children with SEN (desirable).
- Experience working with ASC/SEN students (desirable).
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated, empathetic with a calm, adaptable approach.
- Ability to inspire confidence, build positive relationships and celebrate achievements.
