Specialist Investigation Executive – Insolvency & Fraud

About the role

The Specialist Investigation Executive will join a Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm's Special Investigations team in London. The role focuses on complex insolvency and contentious matters, including fraud investigations, asset tracing and director conduct reviews. It offers exposure to high‑profile, cross‑border cases.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing financial records and identifying potential recoveries.
• Preparing detailed investigative reports.
• Managing case progression and timelines.
• Liaising with creditors, directors and solicitors.
• Supporting litigation and handling compulsory liquidations, CVLs and bankruptcies.
• Conducting director conduct reviews and recovery actions.
• Handling antecedent transaction claims.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate insolvency.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Good knowledge of IPS or a similar case‑management system.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Genuine interest in investigations and contentious work.
• Exposure to fraud or insolvency investigations (advantageous but not essential).
