Specialist Tutor – Flexible Hours in Taunton

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic Specialist Tutors to deliver high‑quality 1:1 or small‑group sessions for learners across the Taunton area. You will support a variety of educational needs, from core subjects to specialised SEN provision, catch‑up work and exam preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored tutoring sessions (individual or small groups) across core subjects.
- Provide dedicated SEN support and adapt materials for learners with additional needs.
- Assist students with catch‑up work and exam revision strategies.
- Offer alternative provision for pupils not currently in mainstream education.
- Travel within Taunton and surrounding areas to reach students as required.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching/tutoring experience.
- Proven experience working with children who have additional needs.
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
- Access to reliable transport for local travel.
