Specialist Tutor – Flexible Part‑time/Full‑time in Newton Abbot

About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate Specialist Tutors to support learners across Newton Abbot and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible part‑time or full‑time contracts, allowing you to tailor your working hours while making a real impact on students' educational journeys.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 or small‑group tutoring sessions covering core subjects, SEN support, catch‑up and exam preparation.
- Provide alternative provision for students not currently in mainstream education.
- Adapt teaching materials and approaches to meet individual learner needs.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching/tutoring experience.
- Experience working with children who have additional needs.
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Access to transport for travel within Newton Abbot and nearby areas.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of core academic subjects.
- Ability to design and deliver differentiated lessons.
