About the role
The Stage and Transport Manager oversees the logistical operations of the Platform Team for the CBSO’s rehearsals and performances, both in the UK and abroad. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that all transport, stage set‑up and player requirements are met efficiently and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics for rehearsals and performances, including transport of equipment, set pieces and personnel.
- Lead and line‑manage the Assistant Platform Manager and a team of casual staff.
- Ensure compliance with legal, health and safety, and financial regulations for each event.
- Maintain accurate records of expenses, budgets and logistical plans.
- Liaise with artists, production crews and external suppliers to guarantee timely delivery and set‑up.
Required profile
- Proven experience in stage or transport logistics within the performing‑arts sector.
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities, with experience managing casual staff.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and financial administration.
