Store Apprentice - Toolstation Brentwood

About the role

Toolstation in Brentwood is recruiting a Store Apprentice on a permanent, part-time basis (about 20 hours per week). Candidates should live locally and be able to commute easily, as the store is open from 7 AM to 8 PM. The apprenticeship programme is described as equivalent to 5 GCSEs and covers customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, business operations and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers, understand their needs and provide excellent service through genuine conversation
• Handle deliveries, stock shelves and assist with warehouse tasks
• Maintain a clean and well-organised store, keeping it safe for customers and colleagues
• Complete weekly coursework, supported by the Store Manager and a dedicated apprenticeship coach

Required profile

• A positive, warm and friendly attitude with a passion for customer service
• Reliability and flexibility to adapt to varied tasks
• Energy and enthusiasm; no retail experience is required
• Ability to manage early starts and late finishes
