Store Supervisor - Fashion Retail

About the role

Footasylum, a UK retailer of streetwear and sportswear, is looking for a full-time Store Supervisor for its Glasgow Fort store. The role is a 40-hour-per-week contract and involves leading the team, coaching Sales Assistants and driving high standards and commercial results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Sales: maximise the number of sales made in-store.
• Service: satisfy customers and build loyalty so they return.
• Profit protection and stock control: monitor stock while keeping employees safe on company premises.
• Merchandising, space, stock and display: arrange products so they stimulate interest and attract customers.
• Human resources: treat employees fairly and consistently, following all policies and procedures.
• Training and recruitment: take part in planned activities that develop the company's skills, attitude and knowledge.
• Profit and loss: control day-to-day store expenses.
• Property: maintain the property portfolio.
• Health and safety: ensure safety provisions on the premises are followed daily.
• Forward planning and general duties: plan for the future and help run the unit efficiently.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for fashion retail and the Footasylum ethos.
• Ideally previous experience in fashion retail.
• Experience managing and motivating a team of Sales Assistants.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with an efficient, organised and customer-focused attitude.
